We don’t just inspect your home. We give you peace of mind.
Peace of mind through professionalism, reliability, and experience
Inspection of the sewer line is a critical item for any home, new or old. In older homes, tree root invasion, collapsed pipes, grease buildup and debris are just a few common concerns; And in newer homes, heavy equipment damage or construction debris in the line are all too common, especially with new construction. Sewer scope inspections help to drastically reduce the risk of potential issues that can result in unpleasant backups and flooding, causing thousands in damage, cleanup and repairs.
Testing microbial growth for mold, and lab analysis of indoor air quality is an important first step to assure a healthy home for you and your loved ones. Safe and healthy water is a must for any home, and lab analysis of your water supply provides peace of mind. You may need basic bacterial testing for well water, or you may want full spectrum testing for well or public water supply. Knowing the properties of your water, including minerals, inorganics, and metals can help you plan for potential water treatment needs. FHA/VA compliant reporting available.
Radon is a soil gas emission resulting from decay of radioactive elements found naturally in soil, groundwater, and rock. Such emissions can enter your home through basement slab and foundation walls, and accumulate within enclosed living spaces. Prolonged exposure to elevated concentrations of Radon within the home is the leading cause of lung cancer for nonsmokers. Radon is colorless, odorless, and extremely carcinogenic, and it can be in any home, regardless of location or structure. Testing is highly recommended when moving into a new home, and results can be had in 48 hours.
Wood destroying organism (WDO) certifications are required by many lenders and give you peace of mind that the home doesn’t have a hidden problem. For your convenience, I subcontract WDO inspections through a local reputable pest contractor, who will usually do their inspection at the same time as the home inspection and provide their report the same day.

During the inspection, I will walk through your home with you and teach you as much as you want to learn. I strictly follow the Standards of Practice for home inspectors established by the State of Tennessee and InterNACHI, the leading home inspection association.
After we walk through the home together, I will explain the general condition of the home and systems with you and your agent. We will talk through any major issues that need to be addressed sooner rather than later. I will also mention the items that you will want to keep an eye on for deferred maintenance. All of this will be detailed in an easy-to-read Spectora report, which will be delivered in HTML and/or PDF format. From that report, you will be able to see the items we discussed, with images for reference.
